Tom Schön is born in Speyer, Germany, in 1969. After years of profession as a baker, and then as a bar owner, he studied film and fine arts at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig, Germany.
In 2018, Kate Tessa Lee and Tom Schön realised together the short film Sec Rouge. An ongoing scriptwriting-directing-editing collaboration from which Piqueuses is their debut feature.
