This is a quest for the Palestinian identity, an attempt to gather as many truths as  possible through fragmented narration. Elia Suleiman acts as the main thread in the film : he lives through his own dilemma between his homeland and himself… He is both an observing narrator and a mediator : he tells the story and is part of it.
