Antonio das Mortes
(O Dragão Da Maldade Contra O Santo Guerreiro)

Antonio das Mortes, a former killer of Cangaceiros, is summoned by colonel Horacio, a rich landlord, to get rid of Coirana. Together with a black man longing for Africa and a local “holy” local figure, Coirana leads the Beatos, a group of mystical peasants. As soon as he arrives in the village, Antonio fights him in a duel, leaving the man serious injured. Yet his victory seems useless to him. When the colonel hires contract killers to slaughter the Beatos, Antonio realizes that justice should be on the side of the destitute and changes sides.
