In a small Anatolian city, Zebercet is the manager of the “Motherland hotel” which was previously his family’s residence. He is passionately awaiting the return of a woman who came one day by the train from Ankara to spend a single night at the hotel. Upon leaving, she said she would return in a week. When Zebercet realises that the woman is not going to come back, his passion gradually becomes an obsession. His solitude and his lack of communication with other people make Zebercet subject to a profound upheaval.
