Aida and Amina, two thirty-something women, meet up after having lost touch with each other for years. Each of them uses the opportunity to question her own life. One choices but now doubts, the other has always doubted but never made a choice. Yet both want to control their own fate without being cheated on by their family or by society. It’s a case of emergency.. Fetiha, an Algerian woman, for whom being alive is already some sort of victory; acts as a reminder of that emergency. Faced with such women, men are  somewhat puzzled: Slah is unable to confront solitude after his divorce; Majid, Amina’s husband, does not know how to respond to his wife’s expectations because no one ever taught him how. These men and women have to cope together with one of the major requirements of modem society: living together.
