Mirrors

In Israel it is the story of Zehavit, an Ethiopian woman in her forties struggling with feelings of disappointment, estrangement and detachment in her most intimate family circle. In Ethiopia it is the story of Almaz, a young precocious joyful girl who dreams of receiving an education and finding true love « an educated boy who will kiss her on the mouth ». Her hopes are dashed the day she finds out that she has been promised to a local man she has never met. These two stories gradually intertwine and become the story of one woman, who after twenty years, in a different time and place, finally faces her husband for the first time.
