Check Point

A number of containers stand by one the main roads going into Kabul. They are a police checkpoint where fifteen policemen work, eat and sleep, never leaving their submachine gun. They come from the neighbouring villages, but their life is here, at this intersection. All day and all night, they watch, search vehicles, check on drivers and passengers.
