Magda, a teacher in a girls’ school, finds herself in a strange situation, faced with an exhausted and confused husband. He thinks that love implies shame and the loss of one’s personality. Since he was a teenager, he has been strongly attached to his divorced mother. No feelings have been allowed to grow outside the family circle. With patience, understanding and tenderness, Magda tries to get him out of his predicament.
