Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is a cutting-edge city : a crossroads for western high technology and eastern human values, a Mecca for archievers. As we approach the end of the 20th Century, where better to midwife the birth of a new society, rooted in age-old Confucian ideals of social order but grappling with the stresses and strains of the quest for identity and personnal growth ? In a matter of two and a a half day, a group of young people try to chase after their own dreams and desires.
