Prince Ehtejab

Prince Ehtejab is one of the last members of the Qajar dynasty and, like many of his relatives, he suffers from hereditary tuberculosis. He knows he has not long to live and, when alone in his room, he recalls the past of his family : his grandfather, who killed his own mother and brother ; his father, who machine-gunned a crowd of demonstrators ; and his own past when he managed to outdo his grandfather and father by finding a better way of killing : spiritual imprisonment and torture, the method that led to his own wife’s death.
