Ramadhan, a cameraman, and Mona, a bank clerk, are in love but they are so proud that they spend most of their time quarrelling. Finally, they get married and begin a new life together. But living conditions in the big city are so poor that they set up housekeeping with an uncle. They end up quarrelling so much over the rights of the wife and the rights of the husband due to the crowded conditions that they decide to get divorced and begin living separately. Markum, Ramadhan’s uncle, and Marni, a close friend of Mona, know that the couple want to patch things up and get back together but are hampered by their pride. They form a plan to get them back together and end up marrying each other instead. But their efforts were not in vain, for Ramadhan and Mona admit their true feelings for each other and resume their married life.
