The story takes place in the 16th century as endless wars pitch one lord against another. A ninja, Kagemaru, sides with the peasants who are victims of the famine and the taxes imposed by Shuzen Sakagami, who murdered Jutaro’s father. Kagemaru and Jutaro lead the rebels in their attack on Sakagami’s castle. A unique cinema experience, Band of Ninja is the adaptation, in fixed shots, of the epic manga by Shirato Sanpei.
