In collaboration with the Nantes Festival des 3 Continents, AFiS holds the first Produire au Sud workshop (PAS) in Busan, Korea for 4 days from August 22 to 25. The workshop is held in a hybrid way with the PAS director Guillaume Mainguet in presence in Busan, while Claire Lajoumard (Acrobates Films), Vincent Wang (House on Fire) and Daniela Cölle Chlapikova (Pluto Film) will have lectures and mentoring sessions online.
The 17 fellows from 12 Asian countries at the Intensive Program of the
International Film Business Academy (IFBA) 2022 will participate in it.

Busan Asian Film School (AFiS) is located in Asia’s first UNESCO designated City of Film, Busan. This educational facility has been founded in 2016 to foster the development of the global film industry for the benefit of professionals and filmmakers from around the world.

AFiS operates International Film Business Academy, Busan Film Academy, and Asian Filmmaking Workshop for young talents in Asia, to lay the foundations for Asian cinema’s mutual development.

AFiS is also seeking an Asian aesthetic and beauty which is found within and reflects the cultural diversity of Asia, and to prepare the film industry for a foundation to share it’s strengths among other Asian countries, and while accelerating the growth of domestic film industry, see likewise growth to the global film industry as well.

Long live this partnership as fruitful as meaningful and productive for emerging producers!
