In Argentina, where the termination of pregnancy is illegal, one woman dies each week following a clandestine abortion. On June 14, 2018, the Argentinian members of parliament said « yes» to legalising this interruption. On August 9, the Senate rejected the bill by 38 votes to 31. For eight weeks, the bill was fiercely debated, mainly in the streets, where tens of thousands of pro-choice activists demonstrated to defend this fundamental right. Que Sea Ley plunges us into the heart of this struggle, through the accounts of the women and men carrying the green scarves as symbols od the campaign for unrestricted abortion. He paints a picture of Argentinian women and shows the hope that their extraordinary mobilisation has given the country and elsewhere.
