We are delighted to announce that HAIR, PAPER, WATER…by Nicolas GRAUX and TRUONG Minh Quý, winner of the Montgolfière d’Argent at the 47th edition, is set to be released in cinemas in France on 9 September 2026
The Official Jury, comprising Sina ATAEIAN DENA, India HAIR, Tatiana LEITE and Franco LOLLI, stated:
“The jury was deeply moved by the tender perspective offered on a generation of resilient women who have looked after themselves and their families in the heart of nature, far from the madness of capitalism. This film reminds us of the importance of passing on a unique language and knowledge, intimately linked to the land, to a new generation. The film itself becomes a precious document.”
The film will be screened at the Cinéma Jacques Tati in Saint-Nazaire from 15 September, where a meet-and-greet with the directors is planned.
