Fawzia is a young Asian woman abandoned by her husband shortly after arriving in London. This separation frees her from the dominant-dominated relationship typical of Asian couples. Although she has no economic constraints, she struggles to gain emotional independence. Music plays an intrinsic role in the film, conveying to the viewer the moral state of the characters.
