Algiers, 2008. The civil war ended only a few years ago and still haunts the city’s streets and inhabitants. Samir and Amal have planned to eat out for their wedding anniversary, but Amal has other things on her mind. She is obsessed with the future of their son, Fahim. She would like him to do his studies in France, but he and his father are against it. As the university in on strike, the young student hangs out with his friend Reda, who is going through a period of intense religiosity. The two friends smoke joints, listen to Islamist punk and end up in a squat so that Reda can have a verse from the Qur’an tattooed on his back. An Algiers night, where a wind of uncertainty blows over all of the characters’ destinies…
