Kirisk, a 10-year-old boy, goes seal hunting for the first time with his grandfather, father and uncle, a difficult and dangerous job. From that age, Kirisk must become a hunter, a man and the breadwinner of his family. But then disaster struck: a fog rolled in over the sea for several days, making it impossible to navigate in the conditions. There was little food left, and soon there would be no water.
