As the BAFICI Independent Film Festival opens in Buenos Aires, the Festival des 3 Continents expresses its full support for Argentine cinema, whose existence and survival are under threat.
The government of the new president, Javier Milei, has made radical cuts to support from the INCAA (National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts), cancelling programmes to support film creation, events and festivals throughout the country.
