Though Take Care of My Cat was both a critical and commercial success upon its release in Korea, the film remains almost unknown in France. Adopting the codes of the coming-of-age film, Jeong Jae-eun paints the portrait of five young women standing on the threshold of adulthood, navigating a polarized Korean society. As they face professional and personal choices, each tries to trace her own path despite the constraints of her social and family background. In this tumultuous period of life, how can they take care of their friendship? While the fragile continuity promised by the arrival of mobile phones in the early 2000s connects them, the shared care of a kitten may well become the true bond that keeps them together. Léa Leboucq
