Handful Of Rice

Based on Rajinder Singh Bedi’s short novel «Dirty Linen», the film depicts a small village of  East Punjab with mostly Sikhs. After the death of her husband, the heroine is forced to wed her brother-in-law who is young enough to be her son. Its the story of hunger and nothingness where traditions must be kept alive regardless of  severe consequences and backlash.
