Le Médecin de Gafire

Karunga, a young doctor fresh out of a Western medical school, is posted to a region in the bush where Ouba, a popular healer, is practising. Humiliated on several occasions by the healer, whom he considers to be a charlatan, Karunga, faced with the healer’s results, gradually revises his certainties and begins to listen to Ouba, who introduces him to traditional medicine.
