Producer, film historian, and associate professor at the Film Institute of the University of the Philippines, Nick Deocampo is one of the most admired and respected figures in Philippine cinema. In 1999, he launched The Pink Festival, the first international gay and lesbian film festival in the Philippines. He will be at the Festival des 3 Continents to present his book Une traversée du cinéma philippin : entre répression et subversion (A Journey Through Philippine Cinema: Between Repression and Subversion), recently published by Carlotta Films.
