The Festival des 3 Continents has announced the programme and jury members for its 47th edition. An international event dedicated to cinema from Africa, Latin America and Asia, the festival will be held in Nantes, France, from 21 to 29 November.
Alongside a diverse showcase of contemporary films, this edition celebrates two towering figures of world cinema: Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Life of Pi) and Youssef Chahine, the Egyptian director who reshaped Arab storytelling on screen. Audiences can also look forward to a focus on Sri Lanka’s rich film tradition and a moving exploration of love in all its dimensions.
This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the PaS international co-production training workshop (seven workshops around the world in 2025 in addition to the Nantes edition). While the acronym remains unchanged, it now reflects the ongoing geopolitical repolarisation of cinema: Production and Storytelling.
