From January to April 2025, the Festival des 3 Continents coordinated introductory workshops in film criticism and podcasting for a senior audience, at the Médiathèque Lisa Bresner (Bellevue district, Nantes).
Starting with the discovery of short films from the 3 Continents, viewed collectively and accompanied by a journalist, participants were invited to take the time to express their emotions, formulate a point of view, go beyond the “I like it, I don’t like it” approach to enter into filmic analysis and formulate a critical reflection.
To give substance to their criticisms, participants discovered the podcast format. Each workshop sequence gave rise to an original sound creation, made up of elements from the film’s soundtrack, music and the different voices of the budding critics.
