THE CONTINENTS FESTIVAL IS ALSO FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES!

Two events not to be missed to discover the selection for young audiences: First Steps to the 3 Continents and take part in a hands-on workshop:

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23 · 10:00 a.m. · KATORZA

Sacred Worlds
4 short films · Colombia, France, India · 55 min. – Ages 6 and up

Momoko Seto, visual artist and scientific documentarian at the CNRS, brings us Dandelion’s Odyssey, her first feature film, in which she continues her exploration of the living world. After several short films portraying fictitious planets, this story turns four dandelion seeds into its protagonists. Uprooted from their native soil after an explosion, they are carried across different environments at the mercy of the elements. Will they find a land where they can take root? Filled with encounters that are both joyful and threatening, this journey immerses us in questions of displacement and environmental transformation. A wordless film, with innovative visual techniques and sound design, it offers a unique cinematic experience.

Followed by a creative workshop at Espace Cosmopolis: “Create your sacred monster.” Registration required.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26 · 2:00 p.m. · KATORZA

Dandelion’s Odyssey by Momoko SETO
Feature film – PREVIEW · France · 1h16 · Ages 8 and up

Sacred Worlds presents four short films whose stories and themes intertwine around our relationship to nature and living beings. Whether discovering the history of an ancient forest, walking the road to school, witnessing the evolution of a mysterious planet, or chasing a mythical creature, each protagonist finds themselves confronted with the elements. What is our place in the world? How do we inhabit a space? To what extent do our actions shape our environment? Through this documentary-and-animation-based glimpse, discover the diversity of worldviews and ways of living together.

Followed by a “Sound Effects” workshop at Espace Cosmopolis – Registration required
