Michel Khleifi and Eyal Sivan drive along a road that, under Resolution 181 of the 1947 Agreements, should be the dividing line between Israeli and Palestinian territories. In haphazard encounters along the way, people speak from where they stand about the past and present of the world around them. Route 181 is an archaeological film and a journey back to History, an attempt to bring understanding where it no longer exists, to give back names to things, to redefine a geography in terms of bodies expressing themselves.
