A Party in Hell

Hadji Djabbar, rich, clever, and very stingy tradesman does everything possible to become wealthier : he even promises his daughter to a rich, old man. He pays no attention to the love between his daughter and her cousin or to his son, who is becoming a degenerate. One day, he falls ill and, in a nightmare, sees himself being thrown into hell. Frightened by this dream, be completely changes bis behavior. He divides his fortune among the various members of his family and donates the money to build a hospital as well as a school.
