REGULATIONS AND CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION*

WHAT ?
Produire au Sud – Nantes (France) is an intensive workshop for producers and directors, organised by the French association Les 3 Continents.
Produire au Sud (PAS) accompanies films under development and supports selected teams consisting of two persons (producer and director) in acquiring professional skills and tools on international co-production, during an intensive one-week seminar, where they benefit from customized training and individual consulting lead by european cinema et audiovisual industry professionals.
The workshop schedule includes masterclasses presenting some fundamental aspects of international coproduction as well as individual meetings in production and script writing. During the workshop, the producers are invited to pitch their own project during a public pitching session.

WHEN ?
The Produire au Sud Nantes workshop will be held every last week of November, during the forthcoming edition of the Festival of 3 Continents specialized in cinematographies from Africa, Latin America and Asia.

CONDITION FOR APPLICATIONS ?
The workshop selects a maximum of six/seven film projects under development coming from the following areas : Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Selection criteria

- Projects have to be feature films under development
- Projects have to be fiction films
- Projects have to last 60 minutes minimum
- The film project has to be a first or a second production as a coproduction with a european partner (Applying producers must already have some experience in lenght-feature or short film production)
- The full script will be requested in case of selection
- Each production company can only send one project and one unique entry form
- Files must be sent in English or in French language
- Applicants and selected participants must speak English (all classes and meetings are in English).

To submit your film project, please follow THE THREE NEXT STEPS and fill up the two following forms :

- PRE-REGISTER YOUR APPLICATION (first entry form)
- CONFIRM YOUR APPLICATION* : (second form : with sending on line the requested documents)
- JOIN A DVD COPY OF THE DIRECTOR'S PREVIOUS WORK(S)** to the following regular adress

Then you will be receiving a confirmation by email.

* .pdf format documents will be appreciated.
Applicants are selected upon reception of the following documents :

-        A CV and a covering letter from the producer which must be in relation with the participation to the workshop
-        A feature film project including :
•   A synopsis (a maximum of 1 page)
•   A treatment (a maximum of 20 pages) of the project under development (in case of selection, full script will be requested)
•   A provisional budget and financing plan  (including acquired funds)
•   A production schedule and technical data (film format, technical and artistic staff)
•   The director's CV and filmography and a director's statement about his project

3/ IMPORTANT !! A DVD of the Director's previous work(s) must be sent by express or regular mail to the Cultural or Audiovisual Services of the French Embassy in the country of origin or directly to the Produire au Sud Nantes office.
