FACMAS is the Support Fund for the Production of Short Films in Sub-Saharan Africa

Within the framework of the Plan Africa Images launched up by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the LES 3 CONTINENTS Association coordinates since January 2007 a system of direct aid for the production of short films in Sub-Saharan Africa (FACMAS- Support Fund for the Production of Short Films in Sub-Saharan Afica).

The purpose of this fund is to encourage the emergence of new talents in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In 2009

THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AND EUROPEAN AFFAIRS decided not to grant the Support Fund for the year 2009 and to close the corresponding budget lines (Priority Solidarity Fund and Plan Image Africa Fund) as of July 2009.
LES 3 CONTINENTS continues to monitor and coordinate this fund for ongoing projects in production or under development, for which aid was granted in 2007 or 2008.
LES 3 CONTINENTS is trying to convince new partners to re-establish the fund in order to establish a new open call for projects.
