Detective Yoshioka investigates several murders that seem to be related. Each victim is found drowned, his body filled with salt water, this water that threatens to engulf the abandoned neighborhoods around Tokyo during the next earthquake. Plagued by stress and the crisis in his marriage, Yoshioka discovers familiar objects on the crime scenes that drive him to question his own guilt: could he be the murderer? So he decides to seek the help of a psychiatrist, apparitions of a female ghost dressed in red that claims that she knows him haunts Yoshioka.
