Georges Cavalié

Born in 1950. Professor of history & geography at the Albert Camus senior high school (Nantes). He is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Festival des 3 Continents since the early 80s, and member of Continent J.

Jérôme Baron

Born in Nantes in 1970. He studied in the University of Paris III and Paris VIII (Doctoral degree) and holds a Master’s Degree in civilization from the University of Nantes.
From 1998 to 2007 he taught cinema in the Universities of Poitiers (Master in documentary film creation) and Nantes (history of film art), also in the National School of Architecture in Nantes. Since 2001, he teaches the history of cinema in preparatory class at the Cinésup Guist'hau High School and cinematographic analysis BTS audiovisual at the Leonard de Vinci High School of Montaigu.
In 2002 his interest in the field of cultural and popular educative actions lead him to leader the " Cinématographe-CinéNantes-Loire-Atlantique project (public movie theatre), very often distinguished as one of the most exigent and original place for film screening in France. 
Since 2004 he is also programmer of the documentary film selection in the FESTIVAL DES 3 CONTINENTS.
He has given numerous lectures on worldwide cinematography or aesthetic cinematographic issues.

 

   

Charlotte Garson

Charlotte Garson is has been writing since 2001 for Cahiers du cinema and Etudes. She is the author of Amoureux (Cinémathèque française/Actes sud junior), Jean Renoir (Le Monde éditions/Cahiers du cinéma) and Le Cinéma hollywoodien (Cahiers du cinéma). She takes part regularly in film education programs and moderates debates on films in theaters. She also produces sound documentaries and radio interviews for the French cultural public radio.
