To celebrate the creativity and film-making talents of Africa, Asia, Latin America, Central and
Eastern Europe and the Near and Middle East, the Cinémas du Sud (Cinemas of the South)
Pavilion becomes the Cinémas du Monde (Cinemas of the World) Pavilion.

At the heart of the Village International, the Cinémas du Monde Pavilion is a hot-house for filmmakers
and a meeting place for established and well-known professionals, offering
opportunities for discovery, exchange and promotion in a single location.

Since 2009 the event is being organised by Culturesfrance, in partnership with member media of the
French foreign broadcasting organisation Audiovisuel Extérieur de la France - RFI, Monte Carlo
Doualiya, FRANCE 24 - and the French-speaking partner channel TV5MONDE, the Organisation
Internationale de la Francophonie and the participation of LES 3 CONTINENTS, all working together
with a common purpose: the promotion of cultural diversity.
