Palestine - 2001

Born 1967, Raed Andoni is today one of the principal Palestinian audio visual producers.

Based in Ramallah and Amman, he created Star 2000 Services in 1996 (executive production), then Dar Film Productions in 1998. With Dar he has produced numerous documentaries. His latest production for Palestinian radio, Live from Palestine, by Rashid Masharawi is co-produced by Arte.

Due to the conditions in Palestine, Read Andoni and Leila Sansour have put their project on hold, and have changed their focus to more “politically engaged” documentaries. Hatiyul hapnimi (The inner tour), by Raanan Alexandrowicz is such a project, and it depicts the difficulties encountered by a journalist in Ramallah during it’s siege.

His last documentary Improvisation, which he wrote and directed, got the "Art et Culture" Award of CMCA-France and also the support of RAI TV-Italie in December 2006.
 
He's now woking on a new documentary Fix ME, a personnal journey in the political and cultural environment of Palestine. he hopes to finish this project at the end of 2008.

Russian and Palestinian, polyglot, for the past seven years Leila Sansour has worked as a journalist and a television director.

She produces and directs on two series of shows for Aljazeera, the famous Arabic network. She is currently writing the screenplay for her first feature film, Mar hanna.
