Written on earth.

Synopsis: A man who lives in the woods is emotionally devastated. He lost his wife and infants during childbith. His misery makes him into a sort of dark prophet. His wish is to save all children from their lives of pain. His solution is to murder them. He goes on a bloody and redemptive mission, and begins a desperate, hallucinatory voyage.

Massoud Bakhshi was born in 1972. He studied agronomy and cinema, and became a producer and a director of documentaries and experimental films.

He is also journalist and writes for various magazines.

He developped Written on Earth within the production company DEFC.

Ali Mohammad Ghasemi was born in 1970. After studying cinema, he became an editor and director.

He directed a documentary series for television, as well as experimental short features, among which: Stranger than native (Kodak IYCS prize Teheran 2000, selected in Cannes, Pusan, Toronto, New York....) and The Red Wind (Kodak IYCS prize Teheran 2001, Best Film in Dresde, selected in Clermont Ferrand, Pusan, Massage to Man).

Written on Earth will be his first feature length film.
