Forsaken

Synopsis: How can one maintain a relationship when surrounded by: a castrating mother in law, an immature husband - addicted to gambling, a very intrusive best frind and a die hard Don Juan.

Ha Phong Nguyen was born in 1966.

He began as an actor, in feature films, on stage, as well as hosting on TV. In 1997, he was accepted into the director's training program at the French Femis.

Back in Vietnam, he was assistant director on Tang the 11th by Dai Sijie and Vertical Ray of the Sun by Tran Anh Hung.

In 2003, he was one of the founders of the Center for the Aid and Development of Young Talent in Vietnamese Cinema. He co-owns Hoang Ha, one of the first private production in the country.

He does not work on the production of Choi Voi since 2004. He is currently developping his own script for a feature film.

His short film La terrasse was selected at the Clermont-Ferrand film festival, and will be screened by Canal+ on May 2007.

Thac Chuyen Bui was born in 1968.

After studying cinema , he directed documentaries and short features: Night Shift (Cinéfondation 3rd Prize / Cannes 2001) and Earth-digging Hands (NHK 3rd prize for best documentary, 2002).
