ONCE, A POND, A TIME

Thaïland - 2004

Synopsis: The film was adapted from a novel by Thai author Thepsiri Suksopah. It is the peculiar and intimate story about the passage into adulthood shown through the portrait of two young lads with totally different social backgrounds and personalities. It is the pastoral and contemplative chronicle of an unlikely but growing friendship between the two boys which develops as the seasons go by.

Pantham Thongsang studied film in Bangkok and at UCLA.

Since the year 2000, he has been in charge of the production department at the GMM Pictures film studios. Among other films, he produced The red bike story by Euthana Mukdanasit and Nipon piewnen, a box office hit in Thailand and throughout Asia.

He is also a film director. In 2003, he co-produced Tropical malady by Apichatpong Weerasethakul which won the Cannes Jury Award in 2004.

gunatilaka

Kamron Grunatikala studied psychology at Thamasart University in Bangkok.

He is also an actor and a producer and has made many documentaries.
