Morality
Synopsis: The film tells the adventures of several young men in contemporary Kyrgyzstan. The heroes exist in the absurd and chaotic reality of the transition period following the political, economic, social and moral system’s collapse. At the same time they are distinguished with an instinctive search of a new spiritual support for new life.
After Produire au Sud, the film was presented at the B2B in the International Film Festival of Belgrade. It won the Award of the Best european project.

Since 2004 has been working at Oy Art Films Producing Company as producer.
Oy Art specializes in Central Asian full length, art house films. The films aesthetically portray Central Asian lifestyles, philosophy, culture, traditions etc.
Oy Art aims at co-production with the European companies. For the present time it has a portfolio of eight projects of the most acclaimed Central Asian film directors.
Produced films (2006): award-wining The Border by Marat Alykulov (20’), In Winter by Emil Djumabaev (30’), Finding by Ermek Ismailov (15’), Boz Salkyn by Ernest Abdyjaparov (95’ in post-production).

Marat Alykulov was born in 1971 in Moscow. Since 1989 he has been working in film industry.
Graduated from Kyrgyz State Institute of Arts on the Faculty of Cinema and TV, department of cinema dramatic art. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Kyrgyzstan.
Worked as a film director and scriptwriter on films: One summer day (documentary debut, 1998), The Mouse (short fiction debut, 2003), Lenin, forgive us… (short, 2005), The Border (short, 2006).
Participant and winner of many regional and international film festivals. |
