The park becomes a protagonist of a tragic love story among teenagers. Juvenile love, beauty, rock and broken hearts are the keywords for this film. |

Santiago Paredes (México, 1975) has worked with european and mexican film-crews developing a fresh, personal and vital production proposal.
In 2006 he produces Drama/Mex (Revolcadero Films, Gerardo Naranjo) shot in 21 days in the port of Acapulco with more than 30 actors and 15 locations.
This year Santiago has produced many campains and spots for Revolcadero Films, while developing and funding Chapultepunk. Having a very solid vision of the script and knowing director Renato Ornelas for about 10 years are two effective tools to work and to create a successful and agile production.

Renato Ornelas was born in 1975 in Mexico. Cabecitas (2006), Renato’s first experimental feature video-film has become a cult classic in the mexican underground scene, while being shown in art galleries in Germany and the U.S.A.
He wrote Chapultepunk while visiting popular Chapultepec park obsessively. His attention got caught when he saw repeated groups of teenagers fooling around while skipping schooldays.
After reading a very small note on a female teenager homicide in the park links and stories became to take form as a film project. Renato developed and polished the script while attending La Bella Sobriedad script workshop.
