Synopsis: Iven, a thirteen-year old boy who lives in Mexico with his uncle Raime. Together with Efrain, his friend, they scour the streets of the town to pinch the odd coin and car bits. He enjoys himself tremendously and things are going well under the control of Raime who is relying on the money scraped together to pay his passage to the States. However, the deals are risky, the children do as they please and quite soon, the small business venture goes wrong. This project was sponsored by IMCINE and was included in the Tenth Screenwriters' Workshop at the Sundance Institute in Oaxaca, Mexico. |

Elsa Reyes was born in 1969. After studying Literature at the university of Mexico, she worked for a publisher and in 2001 started to concentrate exclusively on film production.
Since then she has produced many short films including El columpio del diablo (The Devil's swing) by Enrique Renteria, winner of the IMCINE production competition). In 2003, her full-length film Adán y Eva (todavía) (Adam and Eve (Forever))by Ivan Avila won the Best First Film prize and Best Photography prize at the Guadalajara Festival.
Elsa Reyes finally didn't produce Partes Usadas. She chose to work on another project: La sangre iluminada, second film by Ivàn Àvila. This movie was screened in FICCO in february 2007.
She was also executive producer on Nesio by Alan Coton. This film is now being edited.
She's working on new projects : El rey de las hormigas by Mauricio T. Valle, and Adiós mundo cruel by Jack Zagha.

Aaron Fernandez was born in 1973.
After film studies at the Sorbonne (Paris III), Aaron Fernandez was one of the co-founders of Cinta Negra in Mexico, where he made short films, documentaries and advertising spots.
Partes Usadas is his first full-length feature film. It has been produced by Cinta Negra and was selected at the Producer's Network of Cannes 2007 in the Pavillon "les Cinémas du Sud".
