Chile - 2005

Synopsis: On a long and eventful day, four members of a southern Chilean peasant family struggle to adapt to the changing world in which they live in a world where a Gameboy or a new dress can be as precious as a liter of milk or a glass of wine, where the boundaries between tradition and modernity are quickly disappearing.

Diego Izquierdo is the co-owner of Chilechita, one of the most active Chilean film and television production companies.

He has served as executive producer for the films Sexo con amor (2003), directed by Boris Quercia and the biggest grossing film in Chilean history, and Chile puede (in post production) directed by Ricardo Larrain (La Frontera.

Currently he is working on the production of the third film by Boris Quercia, El rey de los huevones.

Alejandro Fernandez was born in Chillan, in the south of Chile, in 1971.

After graduating as a journalist, he moved to New York in 1998 and studied film at the New School University and the School of Visual Arts. He is also a video artist and film critic.

His first feature film project, Huacho, has been selected as a finalist for the 2006 Sundance/NHK Award and is supported by the Arts Development Fund of the Chilean Government.
