The body
Synopsis: A pathologist is confronted with the mysterious body of a woman who has been dead for thirty years. Strangely, the body is perfectly preserved, as if death had occurred only recently. The body also bears a number of scars. The pathologist concludes that the woman was killed during the military dictatorship. What is he supposed to do with the body? What sort of burial should it be given? And what is he supposed to do with the file on the dead woman? He decides to track down the unknown woman. |

Paulo Boccato was born in 1970 and studied film at the University of Sao Paulo.
He has made over 15 short films, including Janela aberta by Philippe Barcinski (Official Selection, Cannes 2003) and A lata (The Can) by Leopoldo Nunes (Special Jury Award, Brasilia Festival 2003).
He is managing director of the Glaz Cinema film company. |

Rossana Foglia was born in 1969 and studied film and architecture at the University of Sao Paulo. She has written and directed short films including Rosas Mortas (Dead Roses) and Mutante (Mutant) (Best short film award, Bahia Festival 2002, Clermont-Ferrand Competition 2003). Corpo is her first feature film.
Rubens Rewald studied film at the University of São Paulo, where he currently teaches screenwriting. He has written and directed short films like Cânticos and Mutante.
