The old woman at the back
Synopsis: In an impassive city, a lonely, frustrated old woman makes an offer to a young student, an agreement difficult to fulfill: home and food in exchange for daily conversation. For a time, Rosa and Marcelo will co-exist in a small apartment that will be witness to the enormous distance separating them. |

Pepe Salvia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1969.
He studied at the Fundación Universidad del Cine between 1991 and 1995.
In 2001 he produces El Descanso directed by Ulises Rosell, Andrés Tambornino and Rodrigo Moreno. This movie has won several international awards.
As from 2003, Pepe Salvia was executive Producer for Buenos Aires 100 Km, which has already won 15 international awards, and which was produced with the support of the Fonds Sud Cinema, Canal + (France), INCAA (Argentina) in coproduction with Pyramide (France).
Since 2005 he is dividing his time between his commitment as vice president of the Film Director Association PCI and his production activities. |

Pablo Meza was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1974.
He studied at the Fundación Universidad del Cine (FUC) between 1994 and 1997, graduating as Film Director.
He directed three short 16 mm films between 1995 and 1998 (Behind the Window, White Voices and Film Student).
In 2001, his script Buenos Aires 100 Km won the Best Unpublished Script Award in the La Havana Film Festival.
A year later, the script received the support of the Fonds Sud Cinéma. Since 2004, Buenos Aires 100 Km has participated in many International Film Festivals and won 15 international awards.
The old woman at the back will be his second film. |
