n 2002, with the support of Producing in the South, Dust obtained financial aid from the European Commission for Aiding Cinema Production. It is a French co-production, involving Mandala Production and Francine Jean-Baptiste. |

Carla Hoffmann was born in 1967. She and the cinematographer Simon Wilkie run the Namibian production company, Mubasen (“See for yourself!”) created in 1998.
She has produced numerous documentaries and fiction series for Namibian television (NBC) and diverse Non-Governmental Organizations.
She was production manager for the Danish feature length film The king Is alive (1999).

Born in 1961 in Namibia, Richard Pakleppa worked and traveled throughout Europe and Asia before settling down in Cape Town.
He is a politically engaged director who has produced and shot numerous documentaries, some of which have been screened in international festivals (Cinéma du Réel in Paris, Amiens, Rotterdam...).
Dust will be his first feature length fiction.
