Bridget Pickering has worked as executive producer for the past 10 years. In 1992, after working for Universal Pictures in New York, she created her own production company, On Land Production, in Namibia.
Since then, and in close collaboration with Richard Pakleppa, she has co-produced a large number of films in southern Africa. One of her priorities is to promote closer co-production partnerships with companies in the region of Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. Her efforts have bared their fruit in the film Flame, directed by Ingrid Sinclair, selected at the Cannes Film Festival in 1996.
In 1996, Bridget Pickering reinforced her collaboration with the South African production company, Ice Media.
She directed Mama Africa: growing up urban in 2002 and co-produced Hotel Rwanda in 2004. |
